1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using DegreeViz, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. DegreeViz is an independent student-made tool and is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by McGill University.
2. Google Account Data and Privacy
DegreeViz allows users to sign in using their Google accounts. If you choose to log in via Google, we request access to your basic profile information (specifically, your email address).
- What we collect: We solely collect the email address associated with your log-in to create a unique identifier for saving your degree plans.
- How we use it: Your email is used exclusively for authentication purposes and to link your saved course graphs to your specific account.
- Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your email address or personal data with any third parties.
3. Data Storage
DegreeViz stores the course graphs you create (including course codes, credits, and layout positions) in our secure database so you can access them later. You can delete your saved graphs at any time from your dashboard, which permanently removes them from our servers.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
The information provided by DegreeViz is scraped from public university catalogues and is provided "as is". We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or currentness of the prerequisites or course data. Always consult the official McGill Course Catalogue and your academic advisor before making enrollment decisions.
